Records of Processing Activities (RoPA)

๐Ÿ›  Planned

A Record of Processing Activities (RoPA) is a document that organizations use to record and document how they process personal data. It's required by some data protection regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

A RoPA is a living document that reflects transparency and accountability. It helps organizations comply with data protection regulations, identify risks, and protect individuals' privacy rights. A RoPA can also help streamline data management.

A RoPA include detailed information about:

  • The types of personal data being processed
  • The purposes of processing
  • Data retention periods
  • Data sharing practices
  • A history of data transfers
  • All relevant safeguards
  • A description of all security measures in place across the organization
  • How and where security measures are applied

While Concord already provides Processing Activities attributes within data mapping and that data can be reported on and exported, this story would add a nicely formatted easy to export shareable document.
