Clean and modern designs that are accessible and compliant with different privacy laws have always been a top priority at Concord. Multiple regulations and rulings have been heavily focused on what are typically referred to as dark patterns (like different color Accept and Deny buttons), and it is critical that companies always think about truly compliant privacy experiences. It’s one of the reasons we limit certain user experience modifications. It’s also one of the reasons the consent space unfortunately still has a mix of poorly designed and non-compliant/hard-to-maintain solutions (both compliant design and compliant tracker blocking, i.e. not just cookies but scripts, iframes, etc., are both very important here).
We’re also huge believers when it comes to the power of design and its ability to drive trust and results with prospects and customers when done right. That’s why we are excited to introduce Privacy Center Themes, a new feature that gives you greater control over how your Privacy Center appears on your website, while still utilizing compliant and modern design standards. With this release, you can now select from four professionally designed color themes and preview them in real time before pushing changes live — making it easier than ever to align your privacy and trust experiences with your brand.
You can now choose from one of the following themes to easily change the appearance of your Privacy Center:
All themes also automatically incorporate your primary brand color (set in the Branding section of Concord’s Admin UI) for elements like buttons, links, and highlights — ensuring consistency across every touchpoint.
This update is now available to all Concord customers. To try it out, go to the User Experiences → Privacy Center section in your Admin UI and start customizing!
