We’re excited to announce a major update to our WordPress plugin—plus expanded support for the WordPress Consent API Plugin. Together, these updates give users more flexibility and control when integrating Concord’s powerful privacy and compliance tools into their WordPress websites
While you could always easily deploy Concord with our previous version of our WordPress plugin, all configuration was still handled in our web application. With this latest update, users can now authenticate with their Concord account to customize and control the Concord app directly within the WordPress admin panel—no code required. This feature builds on the simplicity of our original release, which allowed for a quick install using a Concord Project ID. Now, website owners and developers can also tailor the look and behavior of their Concord Privacy Center and Consent Manager right from their WordPress dashboard.
We’ve also rolled out enhanced support for the WordPress Consent API. This means any site using Concord—and also running the Consent API plugin—will automatically sync consent preferences across all compatible WordPress plugins, including Google Site Kit, WooCommerce, and many analytics tools. No extra configuration required.
UI Redesign: User interface updates to further enhance the user experience and streamlined navigation.
Direct Plugin Authentication: Update the appearance, positioning, and behavior of your Concord app without leaving WordPress.
Consent Banner: Configuration with live preview functionality.
Floating Button: Configuration settings with real-time preview.
Consent Management: Configuration options for compliance with different privacy regulations.
Branding: Customization and theming tools for branded user experiences.
Privacy Center: Configurable Privacy Center settings section
Project & Organization Switching: Ability to easily switch between different Concord organizations and projects.
Region Switching: Easily switch between regions to enable different settings and experiences based on real-time user location (for compliance with different privacy laws).
Streamlined Privacy Compliance: Quickly deploy GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy tools with an experience that matches your site’s brand.
Enhanced WordPress Consent API Integration:
Concord works seamlessly with the WordPress Consent API. When the Consent API is present on a site, Concord:
wp_consent_type
optin
optout
marketing
analytics
wp_set_consent()
This allows all WordPress Consent API-compatible plugins to respect consent decisions made via the Concord banner—automatically.
Privacy is no longer optional—and for most websites, it’s a legal necessity. But integrating privacy tools shouldn’t require hours of development. This update empowers WordPress users of all technical levels to easily launch and maintain a branded, compliant privacy experience without friction.
